Is Paula Abdul lying about her plane crash years ago

PAULA ABDUL has been talking a lot lately about that plane crash she was in back in the early '90s . . . and how it resulted in her needing multiple back surgeries. (--Somewhere between 13 and 15. The number varies from interview to interview.)

--Well, one thing nobody has done is CALL HER OUT and make her PROVE she was in a plane crash.

--But maybe somebody SHOULD . . . because there appears to be evidence that this plane crash NEVER HAPPENED.

--Paula has been saying that the crash happened in 1993 on her birthday, which is June 19th . . . SOMEWHERE IN IOWA.

--Well, the National Transportation Safety Board keeps a list of all plane crashes . . . and there's NOT one anywhere in the state of Iowa on June 19th, 1993.

--In some articles, Paula says the crash took place in 1992. But according to the NTSB, there hasn't been a plane crash in Iowa on a June 19th from 1990 through 1995.

--You can check for yourself at either of these two searchable databases . . .

http://ntsb.gov/ntsb/month.asp

http://ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp

--If you've been wondering why we only heard about this plane crash YEARS after it supposedly happened, Paula says it's because she KEPT IT OUT OF THE MEDIA.

--She was on tour, and at the height of her career, and she didn't want people knowing about it. In fact, she claims she was back onstage within days of the crash.

(--Paula probably could have kept the media from knowing she was in a plane crash. But she couldn't have kept the media from knowing there WAS a plane crash.)

(--And even if she could, I don't think she had the pull . . . even in her "Straight Up" days . . . to get the NTSB to pretend it never happened.)

--Also . . . Paula claims that her plane was bound from St. Louis to Denver. Would it have any reason to fly over Iowa???

(--Iowa borders Missouri on the NORTH. Denver is DUE WEST. I've heard of some crazy stopovers, but this one would make ZERO SENSE.)

--So the question remains . . . Was Paula Abdul in a plane crash???

I agree with you...and besides, if she's in so much pain with neck and back issues that "criple" her...shouldn't she sit her sweet a** down during AI...she's always spazing out and hitting Simon...it's hard to be sympathetic to that....sorry....

Yea she's lying. I agree that she needs to be called out. There are people out there that are survivors of plane crashes and by her lying about it takes the healing attention away from those who need it. Paula, big deal your addicted to pain killers, most of LA is. GO TO TREATMENT!!!!!

Another point- Paul said there were SEVEN others in that plane:

How did she keep those other seven quiet?

Didn't one of the most infamous plane crashes in pop music history just HAPPEN to take place in Iowa too? Maybe Paula just wants to be mentioned along side the likes of Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens.

I just had to come comment.
Even though it's late in the game..

Her DOCTORS have confirmed the plane crash. The reason it is not recorded is because it was a crash LANDING. She still hit her head on the top of the plane, people still got injured, but the plane was in one piece in the end, so they didn't record it as a CRASH.
The second pilot was able to land it in a cornfield in Iowa, and Merv Griffin saw the plane go down and sent his own private plane out to go help rescue the people.

She broke through her seatbelt and hit her head on the top of the plane, and really f*ed up her neck, and has had to have 14 surgeries since because of it and if you can't believe that based on her word, believe it based on the doctors. If that's not good enough for you, then I can't imagine anything really that would be able to convince you.

Just be happy it wasn't you.
She ended up having seizures all through season one backstage cuz of this crap. Check it out. She was *rigid* back then.

It was certainly interesting for me to read the post. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything connected to this matter. I definitely want to read a bit more on that blog soon.

Keep on posting such themes. I like to read articles like that. Just add some pics :)

As a pilot I can assure you that this incident would still be required to be reported to be filed withe the NTSB regardless of the plane staying in one piece or not.
