What does this mean?

My wife and I were in Los Angeles, sitting at an interesection and saw this business. Please explain to me what it means. Look at the neon on the right, "Nannies, Housekeep, Couples". What the heck, Couples? I have no idea what this means, do you?

From the Elizabeth Rose Agency Website:

A couple is a husband and wife team (not swingers!) who lives on your property or in your home, providing a variety of household support. The wife of the team can help with the kids, grocery shop/cook and in many cases take care of the complete housekeeping needs of the house.

The gentleman can tend to any and all minor to major house maintenance; he shall take great care of those much treasured cars, cleaning and driving when needed and preform in a security role if required. Many of your clients enjoy the benefits of a live-in couple rather than dealing with a variety of different staff for their home. Hiring a husband and wife team can often create a calm and peaceful domestic situation facilitating longevity and continuity for family and employees.

The agency places household help, which would include a husband and wife team to work in your home. Works great, they are usually much happier with their mate living and working together!

It appears you can hire a live in couple to help with rearing of the children, chores, etc. The site specifically says they are not "swingers". This is too FUNNY!

You need to read more muder mysteries and romance novels. There's always an elderly couple working on the old family estate. The wife does the cooking and housework. The husband does the gardening and home repairs. They know all the family secrets - but never tell.
